If you are coloured and not white I recommend you don 't go here, I have never felt so uncomfortable for me and my wife ever, this place takes the biscuit, asked about the wine as my wife is allergic to apples was given a bottle and told to read it ourselves, from waiting up to 30 mins to order your drinks to your food being thrown at you, if your white no problem at all as you are served constantly if you are black/... What Derbyshireflyboy doesn't like about The Coachman's:
Called in here for a few drinks whilst visiting the area for a weekend. The drinks were reasonably priced, the surroundings were very nice and the bar staff were all very pleasant and helpful, but during the evening it got very cold with 3 sets of doors and two windows open on a rainy windy evening, so we closed the door to the bar. Shortly afterwards a staff member walked through and wedged the door open again, stil... View all feedback.
Great views Great service Great food Great value couldn't fault anything impressed beyond all expectations the waiting staff were very helpful will recommend to anyone visiting Bude
Booked a table for Friday evening 24th of February. The Hotel looks great and has been turned into a lovely premises, but that is where it ends. Firstly the staff were very good and hard working. Our one main coarse of Lamb shank was so dry that you needed a pneumatic drill to eat it and was tasteless. My Pork ribs were so bland and barely warm. The chef needs to go back to school and learn how to cook and the management need to maybe try a blind dining experience to see how awful it is. We live locally but will never set foot in here again. To the Owners this is truly only 1 Star
Highly recommend, I would like to thank the kitchen for the fantastic food, also Thank you to Allan for being so welcoming and for giving us a good service he couldn’t do enough for us. Me and my partner will 100% be returning.
We had an OK Sunday lunch, but when the desserts came it all went wrong. The first time they arrived stone cold.Sent back. The second time they arrived STILL stone cold.Sent back again. You'd think at this point management would come over and apologise and tell us they would be complimentary.... But they didn't. I had to tell them I would not be paying for it. Third time lucky..... NOPE. One was still stone cold and the other barely warm.Seriously, how difficult is it?!Don't blame this on Covid19, it's purely dreadful customer service and lack of attention by the kitchen staff. It's a shame. We have been going to The Falcon for over 10 years, but this year its really gone downhill. We shan't be going again.
Had a fabulous Sunday lunch last week . The food was superb absolutely wonderful . Fabulous vegetarian Stilton and mushroom with 7 vegetables and not a frozen veg in site . Mothers roast was perfection local topside Roast beef . Everything was perfect . This is a restaurant that is totally respectful to Covid restrictions . I wouldn’t hesitate to eat here plenty of space between tables , cutlery brought separately and even the salt and pepper is individual . Well done 3 very happy diners . Lovely genuine staff
