"We love this Inn and the food and we and our friends travelled a considerable distance for the meal.The meal was ok.We were in the restaurant and the door to the outside area was open. Another customers dog outside barked on and off and sometimes continuously during our meal which completely ruined the experience.I complained to a staff member who did nothing and neither did the owner.We won’t ever return to this inn who has already missed out on hundreds of pounds of custom from us."

"We had a superb evening at Amélie. Everything was perfect from start to finish. It was our first visit and we’ll definitely be back for more. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. We started with the best Negroni I’ve ever tasted. We...shared delicious small plates as a starter. The Chicken and Nduja croquettes were an absolute triumph. Mains followed and didn’t disappoint. We had the Fritto Misto (incredibly tender calamari and aioli with a wow factor) and a scrumptious Salami Pizza. The wine list is excellent and having the option of a carafe is something that I wish more places would offer. We had one white (a lovely French Viognier) and one red (a superb and powerful St Emilion). All in all it was great quality dining, with a cool, casual vibe and excellent value for money. The team were very friendly and showed incredible patience and dignity when faced with some rather embarrassing behaviour from a table within our vicinity who appeared to be trying to find fault with everything! Even if I had tried to find fault, I wouldn’t have been able to. It was an absolute delight and I cannot wait to go back. Thanks team Amélie!"
