We visited Tintagel during our stay in the area. We arrived too late to bother paying to go into the castle grounds so just went for a walk around the coastal paths. Surprised to find the cafe at the bottom open as many are closed now apart from weekends. Good selection of drinks and snacks available. The Capacino cake was gorgeous. The restaurant and its rooms are wheelchair accessible and thus usable with a wheelchair or physical limitations, Depending on the weather, you can also sit outside and eat.

What Bessophi doesn't like about Tintagel Castle Cafe, English Heritage:
This cafe has a captive audience when you come out of Tintagel Castle so it’s a real shame they don’t value their customers more! Two o’clock in the afternoon only pre packed sandwiches crisps to offer. The hot cabinet was empty there were no pasties. Coffee was weak tasteless. Service was also very slow considering they were offering very little! Definitely won’t return don’t recommend. read more.
