What Geepster likes about Castlegate Cafe:
Interesting little cafe on the much improving market place. Popped in with daughter for a little lunch, I opted for the all day breakfast, pretty happy, daughter had a salad, happy too. The letdown was the super fish finger sandwich. A dry brioche bun, with three 'kiddy ' fishfingers and some fries. Sorry, but you 'd expect some chunky fish fingers given the hype. drinks OK. The omelette my partner had was very good, served with salad and coleslaw. I was disappointed with my order of vegetarian breakfast,with a side of crushed avocado, two poached eggs, beans, tinned tomato, bread and mushrooms which I had to request, sadly looked like mush on a plate, retailing at over £10 was not vfm comparable with other places to eat in area.
