"My title says it all. The fish and chips in the upstairs cafe are delicious and excellent value for money. The best cafe to go to in Crook at lunch time. The food is always freshly cooked and lovely and hot and the staff are always very efficient and friendly at all times. I would highly recommend a visit."

"It 's been a while since we 've visited Dales Bike Centre and it did not dissapoint.The new cafe is excellent, the rooms comfy,quiet and clean. Excellent breakfast and superb Yorkshire dales riding. Even though we 've ridden there a few times we booked a guided ride which was excellent with 'new to us ' trails! great place to base yourself oh and the pubs in Reeth are great with good food and excellent beers, just a short walk from the bike centre."

"The experience was stunning. The food and wines were superbly presented and staff took time to explain the dishes and the origins of the wines. Welcoming staff and a general relaxed atmosphere. We had the tasting menu and the wine flight."

"We discovered this place because our accommodation finished food service at 4pm on a Sunday. Whilst not an 'intimate ' place, the hosting staff were excellent, even on a busy Sunday evening. The house merlot wine was vg plus the pizzas we ordered were 1st class. Later, Sharon, the pizza chef, came to have a chat. She was interested to hear our appreciative comments, and we hope that she is working again this evening when we 've booked to dine there again!"

"We have just returned from an excellent afternoon at the Duke of York. The occasion was my mother's 80th birthday and we had circa 30 guests family and friends there for the afternoon in a private area. We have been planning this for a few months and talking to Imogen, who runs the pub, who has been excellent not only in listening to the detail and requirements of our event, but also giving advice and sharing her experience to help ensure that the quantities and timing of the food were right, and also being very patient and flexible when last minute changes were made from our side. On the day, everything was as it should be and the food was excellent. Again, seeing how the afternoon was flowing, she identified and suggested slight changes that really helped things run smoothly. Throughout, Imogen and the team were friendly and helpful, and we can't thank them enough for helping make my Mam's 80th a success. As I type this, I'm still getting messages from people saying how nice the venue and food was. And while it doesn't matter on an occasion like this, we were also very pleasantly surprised at the final bill! Thank you!"
