"Beautiful little place, but what really bowled us over was the “OUTSTANDING” quality of the food here. Coming from Sydney we are used to gormet food of the highest standard but were totally unprepared for the gastronomic delights coming from Kitchen here. If you are a food lover, expect nothing but the very best from Colin the head chef here who I am sure would be quite at home in any of Sydney’s Top restaurants."

"There is not much choice on the mountain for food so you would think the restaurants would make use of this. The Tavern is one that depends on fresh food and happy patrons. Great meal of locally made sausages and a chicken burger. The meal was definitely fresh, wholesome and quick. While not too cheap it is well worth the stop. A locally brewed beer with dinner was had with gusto. Great dinner."

"Amazing food. Homemade pizzas in the wood oven, tastes awesome. Great variety of foods to choose from, vegetarian options. Nice and cozy and warm in the winter, beer, cider and wine options along with others. Very friendly service. Takeout option available. We come here every week, food is always consistently yum!"
