Little country pub selling food and a variety of beverages. Very quaint in here with the open fires and the low beams.
Been in a few times recently. Perfect for a social beer in the afternoon, aswell as a decent meal in the evening. An all rounder pub!

"Lisa and Dave are so inviting that you could easily bask in their cosy, warm and friendly surroundings all day long. They truly create a very special place, somewhere that stays in your mind and sticks to your heart. Their food is fantastic. I find a small savoury selection is a true sign of a confident master chef. The patties are the very best I’ve tasted, the cheesey scone was delicious and the soup was packed with flavour! The cake selection is phenomenal even if you are full, take a mini selection of treats or a slice of cake home otherwise you will regret it! I fondly dream of a pattie, a good ol’mug of tea, whilst soaking up the warmth of love and soft reggae music that exudes from The Loft."

"Passed through on my walk of the Essex Way in the May day bank holiday weekend. The previous 2 pubs I had tried were closed and I was hankering for an evening meal and a rest so I came to the Windmill not realising how fancy it was! Despite that and my less than ideal attire, the waitress was as an an angel to a weary traveller and found me a seat. After a bread basket with a deliciously salty spread, a cauliflower risotto and of course a chilly pint, a man on the edge walked another few miles or so into the night and slept happily in the woods with a smile on his face. I will have to return one day the classiness of the place mixed with its quaint but very highly refined pub vibe is exquisitely peaceful and the food is like dining on dreams. Only giving it 5 stars because 1000 isn't an option."

"Had a very nice breakfast here with colleagues on the way to a funeral. The food was beautifully done and the waitress was very helpful (not sure if her name but I think she had a South African accent). Lovely surroundings and cute tea cosy on the teapots!"

"Perfect small tea room! a table for 7 booked, including small child on bank holiday Monday and the staff could not have been more helpful. scones and cakes are amazing and beautiful sandwiches for small. my daughter loved her huge milkshake and we enjoyed a delicious cup of loose leaf tea. will be returning"

"Many people review the pub and the environment, not many about the marina and the personal. I can look for the personal in the marina and how well they look around and obviously the inhabitants on the marina and other boat owners, it is rare in these days that they feel appreciated and they really make them feel like family."
