"I often eat here when I'm in campbellton, where usually when shopping or meeting friends. one of my friends who had never eaten here met me for an early dinner and she was quite impressed to eat while not fantasies, is very good and the... portions are generous. we both had the Quebec style soup and then I had fish and chips and she had the daily special, which was a very fresh montreal smoked meat sandwich (bread thin on roggenbrot cut) with side the sweet and an salate. we share a piece of homemade cake and it was delicious. Checheny wes is owned and managed by a person who has been active in gastronomy and food and food business management for many years and he really knows his stuff. the service is fast and the place is very clean. the decor is quite simple and the restaurant itself is not a chic night out of type of place. They have a very large covered terrace which is open in warmer months to eat. if they want to eat really good, including a series of Quebec type menu items (campbellton is directly over a bridge from the gaspe half island of quebec), they will not be wrong on chez wes. they also take out beautifully! highly recommended."

"Atmosphere is nice, staff pleasant but slow. We saw people come in after us get their food and service before us. Would have rated higher if there was a kids menu and a few more vegetarian options. Paying $20 for a kid to have a cheeseburger is a bit excessive. Might be back, but so expensive it would not be a regular thing."
