A warm friendly ambience. Food was excellent. I had a delicious fish soup followed by monkfish in prosciutto all beautifully done and very good value. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about The Bistro At Browns:
we came to the explanation of the grim cook? that there was no more mönch. showed the table that was sticky, and then for 10 minutes before you offered a drink. When the food arrived, I was warm. no big excuse when I mentioned that to the personal, thought it would be warmed up again. the lamb tagine was very bland. we only took one cursor and then left. the staff was friendly but inexperienced. Nice place. Great service and good place to eat. Food was good but not perfect. My Pomme purée was just plain mash potatoes. Needed butter and or cream imo. The duck breast was nicely cooked however. Amazing cheese course. Wine by the glass is a little limited in choice but the two I tasted were both good although relatively pricey. Overall I really enjoyed my evening and will definitely go back for another day.
Very nice evening meal, really excellent service and good food very relaxing and no load 'music ' is a bonus these days! Will be back
Most restaurants in Dartmouth seem to have uniform pricing for their meals, with starters at £9.50, main courses at £25.00, and desserts at £9.50. However, the quality of the food doesn't always match the prices. In this particular restaurant, the main course was well-presented and of good quality.
Was on holiday with my mum and we thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience at Brown's. Staff we so very helpful and friendly. Food was outstanding, as was service. Lovely surroundings. Will return when holidaying in Dartmouth again.
We were staying at Browns Hotel and meeting friends for dinner. Excellent choice of venue and food. Table service was excellent and the waitress was fantastic
