We visited this restaurant with a party of 8 without a reservation made. The restaurant was full but they managed to seat us outside. It was a nice and very sunny evening. Service was very friendly and adequate. I had salmon tartare as a starter and seafood penne as mains. They offer also some local signature dishes. The food was good but not exceptional. There is a variety of wines on the list at affordable prices.... View all feedback.
I had a wonderful experience at this hotelIt is a small hotel with a B
The staff are really nice and the food is good. We would eat there again. The porch was at hotel hight so it was easy to stay on the same floor. But its about 10 steps up from the Street. This was a good thing as you are above the street dust.

Portions were average. Bison and Elk sausage was salt and not tasty. The pasta portion was smaller than expected.
We chose this restaurant for our last night in Dawson City (we were there two nights). We had one of the best meals of our 12-day trip to Alaska and the Yukon. My husband is a beer aficionado and loves to try local brews. Our server was very knowledgeable and helped him pick two great brews. I'm a fan of Lemon Drop Martinis and always like to try speciality cocktails when in new bars and restaurants. My Midnight Sunset (Limonata, Stolichnaya vodka and sweet berries) was wonderfuls. The berries were so fresh, they would plug my straw. For dinner, I chose the Seafood Penne and loved every bite. The dish was well-seasoned and had more seafood than I expected. We all have had pasta dishes where the pasta was used to fill out a minimal amount of seafood. Not at the Aurora. My penne dish was packed with mussels, shrimp, squid and Alaska salmon. In fact, I stopped eating the pasta, but made sure I finished every bite of seafood. My husband switched from seafood (he'd eaten salmon at least once each day of our trip) for the Elk and Bison Sausage with red wine gravy and grilled onions. On this, our final night in Canada, we finally asked what a "poutine" was and ordered that for his side. (It's French fries with gravy and cheese curds — delicious). Not only was our food delicious, but our server was great. In fact, we noticed throughout our travels in Canada how well everyone was trained in customer service. If you visit Dawson City, make sure you eat at least one meal at Aurora Inn.
