Their chai tea is alright. They pour half chai and half milk. Their chai is not loose-leaf. Updated from previous review on 2020-07-27
Would definitely chose over Starbucks. Good Avocado Toast too! Make sure you ask for no eggs if you are vegan as it comes with eggs on top.

"Wont accept cash and the owner has an absolutely bizarre reason why. Meat quality has also gone down and the store is verrry dirty and dusty, especially the ceiling. Used to love these guys and been coming for 20 years since the San Marcos location. Clean the shop and let us pay in cash."

"I ordered Mendos Original Pork Belly Banh Mi sandwich with lemonade. I like how the veg was cooked, and the jalapeño added a pleasant spiciness. However, the pork belly was surprisingly tough. The crunchy bread was a plus, although it was slightly dry. The green lemonade was plain, and the rose was a bit too sweet for my taste. In general, it's an okay sandwich, but I wish I could have enjoyed it more."

"What a fun stop. Large green tea peach boba with salted cheese is about $7. The salted cheese sounds gross but it’s a think milky foam with a salty flavor which is delicious! This place has a great selection. It’s a nice treat.Food: 5/5"
