"Due to covid restrictions the restaurant is only supplying pre prepared takeaway meals, but what a treat. Simple re heat instructions left us with a superb meal for two, of five star quality, for less than thirty pounds. "We were down from Scotland for my neice wedding and original booked Sabadtians. My brother and family joined us. I had the fantastic evening meal on Friday. "I was recommended by a friend when looking for someone to make a 70th Birthday cake for my sister. I have never eaten in this coffee shop, but when I went in and saw the cakes, I knew it looked very promising. The owners were lovely when I explained what I wanted, and I have to say the finished cake (chocolate) was exactly what I'd asked for. The cake itself was delicious, very moist and everyone particularly liked the fact that the filling was a ganache and raspberry jam as opposed to just buttercream. As a bonus the cake also freezes well! Handy for any leftovers. This shop will now be my first port of call for coffee and cake, although the lunch time menu looked also very tempting. Lovely atmosphere and extremely pleasant owners."
