Merry, bouncing bistro directly on the city wall of Derry, with GF options that are clearly marked on the menu, and knowledgeable helpful servers. No GF bread, but Pommes are GF. No GF beer or apple wine, but a large cocktail menu (complement the Mulberry Tom Collins in a warm night! . What Dee O doesn't like about The Gate Bistro Cocktail:
The Salt and Chilli Chicken is hot, I couldn't eat it, but if you like hot then this may be the dish for you. The live music was great, he's got a good voice, but don't expect to be able to have a conversation once the music starts. The servers seemed distracted. Excellent!!! Can't praise the staff enough for the warm cozy atmosphere. The menu is great with delicious dishes freshly cooked and definitely waiting. It is very important that the staff are aware of the sunflower lanyard and made the visit of my child very special. It's great to see a local business with hidden disabilities. Definitely a hidden gem and a place of rest and relaxation during the week or excellent local living music at the weekend. An experience you will not forget.
Fabulous food. Great attentive and quick service. Family friendly, very good price. Next time we sre back in Derry we will 100% be back here!
