The food and staff were wonderful, recommend to anyone who wants a beautiful meal and atmosphere.

The best dumplings in Tas for sure, my main was salt and pepper prawns and it was divine. Even my fried rice was great it was like a wild rice and so yummy.

Justback from se Asia, craving the tasty stuff. Found it here. Fresh, hot and the right amount of spice. Great, delicious food. Highly recommended!

"Free parking right outside the shopfront, which is awesome. I came on a Tuesday morning, lots of takeaway order but it wasn't too busy inside. It's hard to find a cafe in Devonport where you can sit comfortably to use your laptop or read a book but this cafe is pretty good to sit in, relax and enjoy a cup of coffee. The interior is really cool and there are some books and magazine available for reading. It can get pretty loud inside when busy. Won't be surprised if they are busy on a weekend, their coffee is really good!"

"Went for lunch on a rainy day. Cafe being full shows how popular it is for good reason. Best fish and chips I’ve had in years, crispy perfect fish, house made tartare and wonderful salad to go with it. Hubby had their version of...eggs bene also delicious. Brilliant value for money and great service. Left with a giant local cauliflower and a new cookbook new favourite spot!"

"My son and I enjoyed an outstanding breakfast at Briwn Bear. Amazing quality and equally fantastic value breakfast. My son suggested Brown Bear for a breakfast catch-up, and we were not disappointed. Equally outstanding and friendly staff. Superb parking next to Brown Bear. All in all, it's a fantastic cafe and well worth visiting many times as I'm sure you will become a regular."
