I stopped eating here on Taco Tuesday awhile back, I just didn't care for the taco's any more. I have sense learned they have changed there taco recipe. I'm glad I came out and tried the new taco recipe. Whatever they, are using tastes a 100 times better than what there original recipe was. If you like great tasting taco's and a reasonable price I suggest you head on over to the Dilworth VFW with your friends and fam... View all feedback.
What MK L doesn't like about Vfw Post:
All right then, I gave the place another chance to redeem the previous poor service. Fortunately I picked Saturday when the bartenders and servers are really on top of things. I knew there was a new cook so I brought my 6 year old daughter in to give it the grilled cheese and fries test. I order a custom double cheese burger and fries. The grilled cheese is the big one and it passed the test. The fries were good to g... View all feedback.
Stopped in while passing through town after searching on Yelp for a place to each and seeing the pictures showing the Thursday night dinners. I had never eaten at a VFW before, had to check first if non-members are allowed without a member to host them (they are, they call all non-members guests of the Commander . I had the steak dinner, medium. It came with mushrooms and onions, a baked potato in foil, cole slaw in a plastic container, a little garlic toast and sides of butter and sour cream. The silverware is very humble, but gets the job done. I was brought out a container with A1, Heinz 57, salt and pepper. Not too long of a wait to have the meal brought to me. I have to say ... I was really really pleased with the taste of the food. The steak was just as requested, flavorful, and obviously fresh. I don 't know why or what they used, maybe it was the variety purchased, but that potato was the best baked potato I 've ever had. I had such a good meal, I 'm searching around for VFWs in Minneapolis to see if they have similar steak nights :

The grilled cheese is the big one and it passed the test. The fries were good to go with both ranch and ketchup. Finally, the burgers are back. They got one of the old guys out there grilling and he is making old school burgers again and they're great.
Sat for over 20 minutes before we recived any service. I watched the one waitress come and go twice by our table with out acknowledge us. Second waitress came out also didn't acknowledge us she served two other tables before she came over to us. By this time taco night was over and the only thing to order was pizza. We didn't come for pizza we came for tacos! When served we order water and recived dinky little plastic cups. Normally we recive large mugs. Plus the popcorn was nasty. It is probably best we didn't get to order tacos as for they probably would of been unedible.
