Came here to get a Christmas tree and really liked the place! I come from a family that have a shoot, so was talking to the man who I think said his father owned the place, he was really nice gave us a discount and helped us put the tree in the car. This used to be our preferred place for breakfast but yesterday’s experience was very disappointing. From ordering it took over45 minutes to get our food, despite there only being about a dozen people in the cafe all of whom were having a breakfast item. "Coldish saturday afternoon in December. Every pub and bar in town was packed to overflowing, but this small pub, (micro pub really) sandwiched between two other pubs was quieter with spare seating. Started with a local brew, sat outside and conversed congenially with a local. Went inside for second drink. Fancied something different and asked if a wheat beer was available. The lady said no. A gent at the bar said they had Leffe if I wanted Belgian and pointed to a bottle on the shelf. Next to it I noticed a bottle of Blue Moon . I suggested this was in a wheat beer, but she was adamant it was not it was a white beer. I insisted and she inspected it and then agreed it was indeed wheat. She did apologise, but I was disappointed I had to tell her about her job. The beer was enjoyable. Did not eat, but looking at the blackboard I would say it was more light snacks than proper meals but prices looked ok."
