What User doesn't like about Royal:
During my dining experience, I inquired about the homemade chili to the waitress, who was unaware that it was not available. I settled for the chips instead. The chili was flavorful, but unfortunately, the meat was unidentifiable in the dish. I was disappointed with the quality of the food, and even mentioned it to the server. Visits royal hotel numerous locations. really nice cozy pub, friendly staff and good eating inexpensive. will certainly visit again!
Now they have the kitchen sorted they are serving great meals. Always lovely fire burning on a cold day. My dog is made welcome too.
Called on the 5th October for tea They have just done a new menu,had the open steak sandwich which was fantastic and the steak was cooked as required Great drinks selection too,plenty of draught choices and a large choice of spirits My partner had the...pie which was full of meat,excellent all round will certainly return in the future.
Went to eat there. Ordered drinks but no coke left for kids so ordered lemonade. Sat down with drinks to look at menu only to find that the lemonade was soda water. Asked for the soda waters to be exchanged to lemonade, again given soda...water! Bar man tried again, but again dispensed soda water. A pub unable to serve coke or lemonade? Asked for money back for lemonade and left, so can't comment on the food. Atmosphere generally unpleasant and tap room like not ideal for a family meal. Particularly rude unapologetic bar staff.
Eaten at the royal hotel on numerous occasions with the missis every time the food has been georgous.everything is homemade and fresh ...by far the best place to eat in the area and surrounding areas 5star
