"What a beautiful shop, fantastic for gifts.... Very friendly and helpful staff too. They have a beautiful selection of velvet bags, lots of interesting books to buy, and my favourites, bunnies and little fluffy animals made by Kelly cat. A fantastic shop to go into and browse, lots of Christmas items to purchase, and a wonderful coffee shop to pop into, once you have made your purchases."

"Very pleased I found this place to have lunch on my bike ride. Nice outdoor seating area so I could keep an eye on my bicycle. Tasty filling food which arrived quickly. I really liked the choice of garnish salads with my toasty!"

"Absolutely appalling customer service from the owner. For the past 5 months, we 've enjoyed our time at the pub – great food and excellent staff, except for the owner. However, my recent experience was highly disappointing. I ordered a children 's chicken dinner for my dog, which the bar staff confirmed was fine and in a joking manner, advising me not to feed her from the plate When the meal arrived, I placed it in a dog bowl and began cutting it into smaller pieces. The owner 's response was completely unacceptable. She shouted across the bar, making me uncomfortable, and then came within inches of my face to drill me for what I’ve done, telling me I’m not in my living room. A piece of advice for Sophia: treat the locals as kindly as you do the tourists. If two staff members told me it was okay to feed my dog, there 's no reason to shout at me. And for those still reading this review, be cautious about sitting before 6 pm. She approached us at 5:50, cleared the menu we were reading for our 6pm order. She proceeded to inform us this table is now reserved and then pointed out 5 other tables we also can’t sit at. She eventually allowed us to sit at the table under the T.V. We ended up eating there, only for her to remove the reserved sign from our original table and casually remark, You could have sat there, oh well. I don 't know how things are done in Spain, but here in the UK, we value kindness, especially when you 're representing your own business. Sincerely, Louis x"

"I only knew this as a fish chip, but yesterday discovered that they also have a seat in the restaurant with an extensive menu. they can take their own wee, they do not calculate cork, they even supply with wine glasses a frozen cuff to keep their white wine cold. we chose both the queenie scallops in white wine, garlic cream sauce. I had new potatoes salat with my man had chips salat. the portions were delicious. the service was friendly, despite the heat that runs off the feet. we will make more talk to stop in kirkcudbright in future!"
