Contribute FeedbackWe stayed at the Hilton hotel Dresden for 5 nights at Christmas. We decided to book a dinner at this restaurant which belongs to the Hilton hotel. The waitress Miss C. Reithmeier had booked the table for us just a few days earlier than our...reservation for 24.12. She was really helpful in finding us a table as the restaurant was very nearly full for dinner reservations on that night. When we arrived on the 24.12 she received us with a great smile and acomodated us at our previously chosen table. The place was busy, the lively atmosphere was completed by lovely Christmas decorations. I started with a nice prosecco and my husband, who doesn't drink alcohol had a great fruit juice. We had traditional German dishes, Schweinshaxen, this is pork knuckle served with potato and herb salad, Leberkäse with fried sliced potatoes, all absolutely delicious and I enjoyed this with a great German red wine. Desserts were superb and I finished my meal with a very delicious German liquor, which Frau (miss) Reithmeier had suggested to me. It was a realy fantastic dinner, in a lovely restaurant, served by nice Staff Many Thanks to Frau Christin Reithmeier for the full atentive professionalism and great service, We can highly recommend Bierhaus Dampfschiff at Hilton Hotel, Dresden
This place is part of the hilton so we were surprised to be closed with the kitchen! the service was good as that was eating would have been better if we didn't feel rushed.
Attracted by the outdoor seating alas in high summer we were unable to secure a table and came inside. Traditional German beer hall styling atmosphere good. Food was of the style that more than amply filled a hungry stomach definitely not nouvelle cuisine....Service OK took a while to get a table and not overly friendly but efficient. A bit of a tourist trap methinks with not many repeat customs.
The first night we were in Dresden we walked around the Bruhl Terrace and decided to eat at this restaurant at the bottom of its staircase.Operated by Hilton, we discovered later, it offered a place outside where we could watch the tourists. We had the Schnitzel...mit (with) Pfifferlingen a special mushroom in season in September. It has a unique flavor...rather mild. but good. And we ordered Radeberger beer, also excellent. The schnitzel was swimming in a cream sauce with these mushrooms and was served with fries. Our bill was 43 Euros, a little high for that meal, but right in the heart of old Dresden.
There are loads of places to eat in Dresden. this place is a few minutes walk from the main square. It was really busy even though it was early in the week. Food was good hearty would be a good description, but i don't...think you get small portions in Germany. I had salmon with risotto, and husband had the schnitzel which was very good. Service was excellent and friendly, and we never felt rushed.
