"Due to the latest lockdown rules there was nowhere in Moffat to sit in and eat : So we decided on some fish and chips. I work in a chippy so have a pretty decent expectation. It was ok, nothing more. Everything was cooked to order, the chips were decent and the fish was a sizeable portion for a small . The batter was a bit grey and greasy and uninspiring. I 'm glad I didn 't pay more than a fiver for it."

"Visited with some old friends for a spot of lunch. The staff were friendly and polite. It was quite busy with what looked like some local folk and visitors and was nice to see people chatting and enjoying themselves. The place was clean and tidy. The menu choice was great for somewhere in the middle of nowhere...a real oasis! We had a selection of food from homemade soup quiche..all was delicious, the salad bar is a fabulous idea and very generous. We finished with coffee, (which was a great cuppa) but too full for cake. My friend did take a slice of fruit cake home and later told me it was lovely. Well done to all for making this community run hub cafe a lovely spot to meet and we wish you every success."
