"If you're looking for somewhere for dinner in the area, stop looking you've found it! Fantastic varied menu at reasonable prices. Quality of food was incredible. If you're a seafood fan you have to try the seafood linguine, the only thing that will dissapoint you is that no dinner will live up to its standards again! Hands down one of the best meals I've had, and finished off with the best home made sticky toffee pudding ever Staff are exceptionally friendly and attentive. It's clearly very popular so would definitely recommend booking in advance. Enjoy!"

"LOVED our dinner at Home. The service was friendly, welcoming and unpretentious. It was like arriving at a friends house where they poured a large glass of wine and put delicious bread and olives on the table. Felt at home from the start. I had the cucumber avant guard which was hard to describe even after eating it but the flavours were amazing. The green curry fried chicken was outstanding So much flavour. For mains we had pig cheeks which were delicious and the rump steak. The steak was unbelievable! It was melt in the mouth and cooked to perfection. It was also one of the largest steaks have ever been served and took 2 of us to eat. Should really have taken a doggy bag as would a have made amazing sandwiches next day. Didn’t really have room for pudding but wanted to try the plum tart which was so delicious. Wine was very reasonably priced for the quality and comes by glass . Will be finding reasons to be in Dumfries on Thursday or Friday again so can return"

"We were looking for a ‘light lunch’ on a drive to the Solway Firth and found this. Despite it being busy, the staff found us a table and I can only say that perusing the menu we were spoiled for choice! My husband had the fish and chips with a side of onion rings while I had the fish pie. I can only say that as well as being delicious, the portions were enormous! Desperate Dan would have been proud of the size of the fish pie which was stuffed with beautifully tender fish and prawns. So, not such a light lunch but we couldn’t fault what we had. On paying, the bill was checked through with us which I think is a great idea and saves and possible hassles. Thanks to the staff for fitting us in. Highly recommended!"

"Brilliant pub with dining , probably the best in Dumfries Galloway. The staff are great, Hi to Wayne behind the bar, always a good choice of wines, beers and real ales. The food is outstanding, we have the highland steak everytime. We only stay in Dumfries every 3 yrs or so, but always get in here at least once. Price per person: £40–50 Food: 5"
