A short drive from Duncan is this lovely little bakery. But worth the drive. Only open on the weekends so plan ahead. Every Christmas I buy their Tourtière .......

"We love going here with friends. All our meals have been delicious and the staff is very friendly. Their brunch cocktails are lots of fun. It can be busy and there is often a line. We love sitting outside here on a warm day. Definitely recommend going here !Vegetarian options: I love their mushroom eggs Benny! "This restaurant is hidden in the ramada inn on the transcanada highway. the service was excellent and portions great. there were gluten-free options, and the kid's meal chicken tenders was super-generous. we all enjoyed our meal here. wait-staff we patient with the fact that we wanted a leisurely meal and stayed longer than we might have. the potato skins appetizer was actually enough for a whole meal for me."

"I don't know how to give it all 5 stars. it is a true and authentic farm to table place. excellent eating, wood fire pizza are amazing I have nutritional restrictions and always feel embarrassing or sceptical that my order will be filled into busy kitchens. never at alderlea! not only does it come out ingeniously, I never have an annoyed bauch. When friends and family come into the city and ask where they want to eat when they have something local, authentic, organic or just an amazing atmosphere hands down alderlea!"
