This restaurant has a great ambiance and offers some tasty vegan dishes. The vegan red duck curry is exceptional. It would be a nice spot for a date or a romantic dinner, but it can get crowded during busy times. View all feedback.

The restaurant offers diners a great view of the sea, but the prices reflect this. There are limited vegan options available, and they can be hit or miss. You can dine with great views of the sea, and that is what you pay. There are some vegan options, and they seem hit and miss. It's nice that the Mango Lassi is rich and thick, like the curry, but not disturb with the bow. It wasn't even full when we finally ordered, but the service was very slow, and we almost decided to pay for the drink and not order food. The server told us that they made the curry to order, so could decide how sharp they do. This is definitely not true as they use a paste, so check with the cook when you are concerned about any ingredients.
We drove to St Clair on a beautiful and clear but icy cold and windy day and decided to stay in the ghosthouse for an early dinner. Great decision. It was so cozy and warm inside and we had a beautiful view of the beach. The vegan duck curry was amazing and I can highly recommend the roasted dumplings as starters (they were crispy and tasted like a cross between sommes and dumplings). As we unpack the place, it seems to be very popular, luck we have early. I'm going back to my next trip to dunedin.
The exterior and lighting of the restaurant were very cool, and the interior decor with unique wallpaper was interesting and great. The customer service was decent, and the prices for food were reasonable. Despite the rainy night, the restaurant was very busy. We started with the crispy spring rolls and then had the Pad Thai Pork and Singapore Satay Chicken with rice as our main dishes. Both dishes were served quickly, and the portion sizes were very generous, allowing us to take home leftovers. The spring rolls were also very good. Overall, I enjoyed my meal and would definitely return to this restaurant.
This restaurant offers some of the best Thai food in the area. Situated right on the waterfront, the views are spectacular. The service is quick and friendly, and the food is authentic and flavorful. Most dishes come with plain rice, so it's best not to order extra. The portion sizes are generous, so be careful not to over-order. The restaurant is good about packaging up leftovers, which still taste great the next day. Accessibility may be an issue due to some narrow steps at the entrance. The restaurant is conveniently located within walking distance of many hotels and has nearby parking. There is also a designated area for takeaway pick up. Prices are very reasonable.
I highly recommend visiting this restaurant. The food is delicious and the service is friendly. It is often quite busy for good reason. The design and atmosphere are great.
