"Unforgettable experience with Michelin quality dish after dish upping the anti in quality with every course. Imaginative wine pairing which elevated the experience would recommend spending a little more for the premium option which offered aged Chenin blanc and a surprising Bulgarian Bordeaux blend. "This newly opened Portuguese bakery on Leith Walk is a true gem. Not only is it the best coffee in Edinburgh, it also serves some pretty wicked sweet treats. I can literally feel my waistline expanding just from looking at the custard, cream and chocolaty pastries. Portugal is famous for their custard tarts, and the ones served at Casa Amiga take me right back to my holiday in Lisbon. My favourite coffee on the menu is a flat white; it has the perfect ratio of coffee to milky froth. Hungry? try their ham and cheese croissant- I don't know what they put in the pastry but it is delicious! The bakery has a nice laid back feel to it and has extra downstairs seating for when it gets busy. They also stock some Portuguese soft drinks and sweets. It’s authentic, relaxed and relatively undiscovered. I LOVE this place."

"We were disappointed after seeing the good reviews. We got 2 different pies both disappointed. Apparently it was (sadly) minced pork in one and shredded steak in the other. Both the pies and especially the fries should have been fried much more. However, all the girls are so dead and service minded, so of course they got a 10 percent tip it was definitely not because of the food. Parking: Directly opposite the restaurant, there are plenty of places"
