We had the cod fish fry and the chicken dinner. Both were tasty. We also tried the loaded **** Mary. There were just two servers staffing the bar, dining area, and outdoor seating. What chad demeyer doesn't like about Honey Bear:
I had the fish fry, the serving size was plenty. The fish didn't really taste like fish, it just tasted deep fried. For $21 a plate OMG , I'm pretty sure there are some fast food places with better fish for 1/4 of the cost! My wife had the shrimp which was ok, but same old food you can get at any bar for $8.95. What a hidden gem! First time here after coming to Eagle River for 24 years! Mitchell, our server was so friendly. For as busy as they were, all the servers had smiles on their faces. I highly recommend the chicken dinner and **** Mary’s. Hubby had the low carb burger which was huge! We will be returning very soon. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner

The atmosphere and service were great! They have the best cheese curds I've ever eaten and the walleye was spectacular. Also, our waitress Linda was great with our kids and enhanced our experience. First time visiting Honey Bear tonight. I had the cod fish fry with potato salad. The fish fry consisted of three pieces of cod loin, about 6-8 long, and only about 1.25-1.5 thick, which meant the fish was nicely cooked. The potato salad was very tasty. Came with rye bread slices and butter. Very good meal. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner
