What a fantastic find, hands down it beats going into sidmouth itself. Absolutely great landlord and landlady, proper traditional pub, great selection of beers/ales etc, local clientele are so friendly and welcoming. More than fantastic value for money too!!!! What SMCLondon doesn't like about The Rising Sun:
Big sign outside says freshly ground coffee. Ordered two coffees but shown a jar of instant coffee by the lady. I loathe instant coffee. Asked instead for a tomato juice and told that they don’t have tomato juice as nobody has asked for it recently. Do these people want customers? Why not stock a few bottles of tomato juice ? In addition to a variety of menus, the menu also offers a selection of beverages and typical house dishes.
