"Outstanding in every way! Both my wife and I had the salmon sashimi appetizer and the halibut and both dishes were delicious. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and described each menu item. My wife has food allergies and the waiter was able to suggest good options and also had the kitchen modify the sashimi so that it did not affect her allergy. The chocolate mousse was very tasty as well. Clearly the best restaurant in the Hamptons!"

"Highway Restaurant is just simply the best restaurant out East for delictable meals from salad to dessert. I was never a fan of Kale salad until I discovered a kale salad here with the most delicate dressing, dressed with chips made from squash, and various tangy and sweet surprises. The fried calamari was so light and just the right amount with a nice spicy atoli very fresh. Then fresh burrata with multicolored beets nicely dressed. The late corn was grilled and dressed perfectly. And John's eggplant parmigiana light and flavorful. Best thing was the apple crumb dish. Simply superb. Fit for foodies, etc. One can honestly feel the loving preparation of each item on the menu. Warm, cosy, elegant, good wines, we can't say enough."

"The Halyard is a large restaurant with multiple dining areas. We were seated in the older section with red wood paneling on the walls and ceiling as if on an old ship. It was great. The newer dining areas give the feeling of dining in a cafeteria. If you have the option, request to eat in the older section. The ship like ambiance on the water's edge just as the sun set. Stunning setting hard to beat this anywhere."

"This was a perfect meal. Great craft cocktails. Every dish was prepared superbly.the fluke crude stood out as especially great. The redesign of the interior by the new ownership worked well. Considering the superb quality the pricing was quite fair.Service was excellent. The new owners as of had big shoes to fill , and they have filled them very well indeed. There is no restaurant on the North Fork that even comes close to this one, and that's saying a lot"

"The garlic rolls are addictive, I had 3!! The split pea soup, yum but the codfish special was ok, great piece of fish, not knocking that but it was missing some flavor. Now others may disagree, my taste buds have been ruined with spicy foods so I always need a huge burst of flavor, but still delicious. Plus the hostesses and our server were great! Will definitely come back oh and I don't typically eat meat but did try a bite of the Riley and it was pretty damn good. It's hard to find good red meat in America!"

"We had the most delicious meal in the plaza cafe in southampton! it was by far the best eating we had on the island! Chef doug has a hand on creative approach to a lot of restaurants. our server hostess sam went beyond to make sure that our experience was top notch! our gorgeous, romantic evening at the kamin was a night to remember!"
