Deacon Brodie is a charming pub filled with atmosphere, history and warmth. Great pub on the Royal Mile Road just a short stroll down from Edinburgh Castle. Incredible sense of history and charm as you sit down and enjoy all the nostalgic sights and sounds! Stop in for a pint! View all feedback.

What Catherine M doesn't like about Deacon Brodie's Tavern:
Went for a meal, several of the choices were already off. Tried ordering fish and chips to be told they were off too. Two of our party Settled on some Balmoral chicken which was served with broccoli that was uncooked and stone cold and a few carrots that were inedible. Chicken was only passable, Complained regarding the veg and was offered to order something else or more vegetables, however the rest of the party all... View all feedback.

"Many claim to have ‘gourmet’ fast food Polentoni DOES! I am an Italian who has lived in Edinburgh for 20 years and Polentoni is possibly the only place where I have found authentic italian flavours. Franco is really knowledgeable and passionate about gastronomy and always keeps the offering interesting and varied by introducing regional specialities to his Scottish customers. "We had 2 orders from the train station indien portobello. order online was a piece of cake that was personal was so friendly when we collected, and eat ready and piping hot when it was expected. we had dishes, of which we have never heard, among them pineapple and discktikka, sweet katmandu, panir lemon chili and immunity veg (mild to medium Indian crumbled and honey) they were all very tasty perfectly cooked and not oily. the carnivore with us last night thought that lamb was also fantastic and we even found free popadomen with the orders! very appreciated! Unfortunately we are only temporary in edinburgh, from the ende november, but we hope that the next day we will have a final order from the station indien and now ask everyone to read this to do themselves and to treat ourselves to a meal from this wonderful take!"
