"Many claim to have ‘gourmet’ fast food Polentoni DOES! I am an Italian who has lived in Edinburgh for 20 years and Polentoni is possibly the only place where I have found authentic italian flavours. Franco is really knowledgeable and passionate about gastronomy and always keeps the offering interesting and varied by introducing regional specialities to his Scottish customers. More vegetarian options than in the past, SO GOOD!"

"We had 2 orders from the train station indien portobello. order online was a piece of cake that was personal was so friendly when we collected, and eat ready and piping hot when it was expected. we had dishes, of which we have never heard, among them pineapple and discktikka, sweet katmandu, panir lemon chili and immunity veg (mild to medium Indian crumbled and honey) they were all very tasty perfectly cooked and not oily. the carnivore with us last night thought that lamb was also fantastic and we even found free popadomen with the orders! very appreciated! Unfortunately we are only temporary in edinburgh, from the ende november, but we hope that the next day we will have a final order from the station indien and now ask everyone to read this to do themselves and to treat ourselves to a meal from this wonderful take!"

"A completely different but very pleasant culinary experience. a bar-style table with a maximum of 10 customers has prepared an uninterrupted view of the cook and its brother sidekick and serves a delicious tasting menu of around seven curses. seasonal products, well prepared and beautifully presented served when it is ready, it took some time (the meal begins at 7 and we left at 11), but to be honest, the time flowed. when the evening went on, and the excellent wein game began to loosen cungs, there was more and more talk about the food, weeping, living, the university and everything. but if their preference is to stay in their own blase, there is no pressure to take part. we left with a smile on our faces, have enjoyed some excellent eating, wein and entertainment. good rewarding to book a visit."

"We had the most wonderful breakfast this morning at Roundsquare and would highly recommend to anyone visiting the Morningside area. The staff were lovely and made you feel very welcome and the food was very tasty and well presented. The coffee was great and the tea I had was an Edinburgh company Pekoe Tea which was wonderfully refreshing and I will be purchasing for home. Nice to see home produce being sold. I certainly will be back and encourage anyone to make your way to Morningside for a very pleasurable experience at Roundsquare."

"Delicious! Couldn’t say more good things about this place. Went with my parents and we had an incredible meal with excellent service. They’re super flexible to dietary restrictions I enjoyed an amazing gluten free, vegetarian pasta. Definitely save room for dessert the cacio strawberry sorbet are the perfect finishers. "Came here twice in a week, once on 30 April (amazing service) and again on 6 May (terrible service). I've no idea why it's hit and miss but it is. 30 April, asked for my birthday beer and no issues whatsoever. Ordered food, and kept getting table service throughout our stay great afternoon. 6 May, one chap behind the bar and one lady wandering around the bar not wanting to serve people. Eventually gave up and ordered at the bar zero service zero tips. And no, it wasn't busy, there were only a few tables in. I know this place is a profit sharing bar so you'd hope that there would be a level of consistency to ensure they maximise takings. I have shares, so I'll keep coming back, but if I was Joe Public and had those two polar experiences I'd not bother. Let's hope my next experience is similar to the one on the 30th!"
