really cooler place to hangout.a the ambiente is cozy and sweet, the baked are fresh and the cappuccino was really good. all this is managed by two young girls and they are good at what they do. I had soup and water soup that was good. but all in all it is a fairly clean place to hangout,talk over coffee and have some fresh homemade pastries to finish the day on a good note. the southern cross cafe kept so much promise. embedded a little after the cockburn street, it seemed to offer initially a potential safe harbour from the flu of porters and hunters who swarm the royal mile, as well as the threatening threat of a crash. but at changing weather conditions in edinburgh my expectations were very fast rained.
