"We ate at this restaurant a few years ago when it was in a different location, and at the time I can truthfully say it was up there with one of the best meals i have had anywhere in the world, so we had to go again, we were not disappointed, the atmosphere is relaxed the staff so friendly and the food was beyond good , no words could tell anyone how good this place is , just go and enjoy every second !!!"

"Amazing, locally procured and so delicious brunch food in the salt cafe in morningside. we had the breakfast of the metzger and the vegetarian breakfast and to drink iain burnett's hot chocolate with milk, alba cola and fresh juices. all up to the Butterei tea and coffee is from the local counter, with many, if not all products available to buy this young couple opened this caffe only last year and earned all their support, they could notice that they are almost booked out at some days, but they should be able to be a table liv making all home baking, and not only has a small child, but also holds a dozen. "These people are very hospitable. we had the tee for two. not only was it very tasty and filled with a big pot tee, it was an incredible worth at 20 pfund. although a little from the tourist opposite, it is on a main bus route and worth the trip several times."

"Valentine's Day was our second time eating in the Secret Garden in the evening. Subdued candlelit ambiance suffused the room with a warm intimacy enhanced by worn wooden decor and meticulous adornments replete with floral arrangements and other small touches of life. The food was, as always, intricately prepared, bursting with flavor, and satisfying despite seemingly small portions. This place, while located in such a bustling tourist neighborhood as the upper Royal Mile, somehow manages to maintain its soul as a wonderful place for a warm meal and quality time. While not cheap, the food and overall experience is well worth the value in our opinion."
