A bit expensive compared to other similar Edmonton restaurants (eg $13 for a small sliver of cheesecake), but flavorful and interesting menu. Was disappointed in the chicken breast as it was one of the flattened breast type comparted to a breast roasted right from the chicken but still flavorful. Seafood seems good, as does the veggie pastas. Nice range of wine selections. Also surprised by honey--not real, but just... View all feedback.
What Charles Lendzion doesn't like about Oliveto Trattoria:
Our server was excellent and the restaurant itself was very good. However, when we asked for the ravioli we were told that it was unavailable as their suppliers don't make it anymore. Uh oh that's not a great sign. We had presumed that everything would have been made in house, but my chicken parmigiana, and the spaghetti looked and tasted as if they were premade. It was ok but not what I expected View all feedback.
The joy and fulfillment our tummies experienced with their magnificent food can only be matched by the warmth and generosity of our host. It's as if he can read our minds by recommending to us the perfect set of meals to order that would fully satisfy both our palate and one would say even our souls. It was truly a wonderful first experience and hopefully it won't be our last. See you soon!

Fabulous food and service at Oliveto. A hidden gem in Riverbend. Good menu options and portion sizes.
Made a reservation for a date night with the girlfriend, service was very prompt, not busy in the restaurant at all which was quite surprising given that the food was great, great portion sizes and tasted amazing. Quiet and quaint little restaurant, definitely recommend for quality Italian food.
Absolutely amazing food, it is a hidden gem, we highly recommend! The atmosphere inside is cozy and the staff is kind and welcoming
