"After a pretty ride through the country side, Pompilo (in Sao Vicente) was a bit of a surprise. The restaurant was recommended by our host and was described as a small restaurant in a village not far away. The restaurant is actually quite large with a fairly varied menu of fish, meat, and game. We ordered the mixed grill and the codfish specialty both were very good and the serving size was more than either of us could eat. We did have a bit of trouble with being billed for all the appetizers automatically placed on the table figured we just didn't communicate well (no Portuguese) and paid without questioning. Otherwise, found the prices very reasonable."
