"This is my first time here. I can tell you that it was a treat! The service was wonderful, the decor was rustic with its stain glass lights hanging, and the food was amazing. "Stopped here for a pre dinner ice cream treat while staying in Ely. The ice cream was expensive, as ice cream is when bought at a shop, but the waffle cone and ice cream were very good! The store itself had interesting decor and fun table seating. There was a store mascot golden retriever who begged for droppings and the palor was connected to a little gift shop."

"Stayed here for one night for a work trip and wished I could have stayed longer! All of my coworkers agreed: Room was exceptionally clean (if a little north woods dated) and very comfortable. Food was great tons of easy options. Just remember to make reservations because it gets BUSY. And the service was top notch I just stayed at the 5 star Mandarin Oriental in Jakarta for my honeymoon and I told my husband that I felt more welcomed at the Grand Ely. I’m already looking for dates for when I can bring the family up for a few days."
