"We were the first time in this restaurant today. service was very nice and friendly. there is a lot of scavengers, so we have also tried what we did not know. the two dishes were really good and the portions too. will definitely visit it again and if the next dishes also taste so well, there will be the fifth star also: . "A colleague and I ventured in one evening looking for something a little different from the regular German fare. Boasting specialities from Alsace and a charming appearance, we thought it looked like a good bet. The menu is classic French bistro fare with a sprinkling of regional colour. Frogs legs and escargots are there, along with Flammkuchen and foie gras. The execution, however, left something to be desired. My friend's tarte flambée looked like the only flame it had seen was a bic lighter. It had a few crispy spots, but the thin base did not have that crispness that sets a good Flammkuchen apart. I ordered a lamb shank with ratatouille and pommes gratin which was passable but nothing special. The lamb gave the distinct sense of having been a tad undercooked despite being around the kitchen too long. The sauce was an underwhelming gravy. Of course, we only tried these two dishes. The Apple tarte being flamed with calvados on the table next to ours did look impressive and the staff were inconspicuously attentive. If you feel like something French in this little German town, but don't want to break the bank, it's definitely an option."
