"This is not a restaurant for those who like to eat with their eyes before tasting a bite. Beautiful, color contrasting food presentation is not something to be expected. The food was nicely prepared, tasted good, but it lacked depth of flavor, contrasts of tastes and certainly a color pallet other than dark red to brown. Everything was more of less muddled at a quite high price. This is not a good value for money spent place. The ambiance is very cozy, however. On our grading scale of two thumbs up being the best, we gave this place a 1 1.25."

"Quite tasteless dishes for too high prices. Everything is more or less adequate, but really nothing more, and the prices are the same as at other high-quality addresses. The most disappointing being the desserts (chocolate pear verrine for 8 euros which only seems to be a stack of canned pear and a very average chocolate mousse: much too expensive for what it is). "What a find! We normally travel into Avallon or one of the other nearby bigger towns but Icim'aime is very close to our home, and we will definitely go back. The welcome was warm and we were shown to a table in the modern restaurant....We all ate off one of the set menus. There was a choice of two starters, two mains and two desserts, as there was a board with suggestions of the day we were able to choose off that also. A plate of delicious amuse bouche was put on the table whilst we made our choices, it was obvious from the moment it was put on the table we were in for a treat. All the dishes were beautifully presented, worthy of a Michelin star, tasty and great ingredients. The highlight was a dessert of apple tart like I've never seen before! The work that had gone into the presentation, taste etc was extraordinary. The service was attentive but not intrusive and very pleasant. A very nice, not overpriced, bottle of wine, excellent food, lovely service made this an evening that was perfect. We will definitely be returning."
