"We were looking for a place open on Tuesdaysan interesting challenge in this part of the country. We found Tortugas and partially on the recommendation of friends. So the food: the first thing I noticed was that the tortillas were good. In all German restaurants...serving Mexican food, the tortillas are always stale. I ordered the longhorn plate. It had two different types of beef enchiladas in a spicy red sauce and two tacos. One was a chicken taco white meat and the ordered had chunks of beef. The plates there are all served with rice and charro beans. The food was spicy but not overwhelmingly so. I ordered extra sour cream to cool off the heat. I also ordered a side of their pico de gallo. It was cut up tomatoes with some onion and cilantro also red pepper. It was refreshing, although different than you get in the USA. My friends dish was similar but made with chicken and green chili sauce. Overall I recommend this place. There were many choices from mixed plates as we had to specific dishes such as fajitas, burritos, chimichangas and tacos"
