Very busy and loud! Waiter was excellent he had a lot of tables to serve. We waited for a while for water and bread needed more servers. Good pretty good
Food just amazing! Never disappoints. Waitress was so attentive, Looking forward to going back.
The salmon was the best in town as usual and our waiter was very attentive. We ate on the patio and it was very pleasant.

"Wont accept cash and the owner has an absolutely bizarre reason why. Meat quality has also gone down and the store is verrry dirty and dusty, especially the ceiling. Used to love these guys and been coming for 20 years since the San Marcos location. Clean the shop and let us pay in cash."

"Been looking for a place we felt safe but could still get out for good food and a drink. They have a small front patio and a little bit bigger one out back. Indoors is a little small if you are covid-conscious but looks like it would be a great atmosphere post-pandemic. We opted for the front patio where we could do some people watching and chat. Really, really enjoyed ourselves. The cross-cut fries were by far the best I’ve had anywhere. Perfectly crisp and not soggy and wimpy like most. Sliders were tasty and perfect. Avocado toast looked like a gourmet restaurant. It’s a beer tavern so the wine was a little limited but what we got was very tasty and freshly opened. Highly recommend the 508 Tavern. And it sits right in the new area of downtown that is still very much under construction but going to be very cool when it’s done."

"Food poisoning from salad, not chicken. My daughter luckily didn’t get sick from just eating the chicken. It might’ve just been bad luck with the latest shipment. Otherwise was looking forward to this location finally opening up but I’m afraid to go back."

"We love Mendocino Farms, always a good lunch spot, but lately there has been a considerable drop in quality.I do want to make it clear, we have not dined-in in a long while, this has all either been to-go delivery.We have a couple of usual items that we always order, the Superfood Ensalada and Curried Cous Cous. Both excellent items that have always been delicious.The salad, is awesome, good variety of textures with the crunchies, avocado, corn, etc. The dressing is also delicious and goes well with the salad. Seriously an all-time favorite salad for me.The curried cous cous is so good, spicy, yet creamy, such a good side to order when getting really anything from Mendo.I have also tried some soups, and the Pork Belly Banh Mi is also excellent.So, I wanted to share how much we love eating here before getting into the recent criticism.Lately, we have been getting our usual salad, and the proportions have just been off. One of the ingredients that they top the salad with is Cotija cheese, usually it's a small amount, used to complement the other flavors in the salad, last time we ordered it, it felt like someone was dusting out salad with the cheese, but the top fell off of the cheese container because it was super excessive.The other incident that happened was that we ordered some cous cous and it tasted like it went bad, very disappointed that we probably received an old item that was past it's shelf life.They are usually good, and I am hoping that these are some isolated incidents, but I think we will take a break from going here until they figure out these quality issues."
