I recently hosted a large party for my wifes birthday in downtown evanston, followed by an after party of approx. 40 people at Ridgeville Tavern. Ike reserved half the bar for my party, and since it was late night after his kitchen is closed, let me bring in a tray of wings from nearby. We stopped in before a basketball game for drinks and a quick meal. We ordered a round of apps, fried pickles and fried cheese curds both of which were undercooked so the batter was unseasoned, soggy, and borderline raw.
