One would never guess looking from the outside what a gem of a restaurant Evorabraza is. The restaurant is a family affair with a very charismatic Ze Manuel as your host. The food is typical Portuguese with an Alenteijo influence, I had the Pernil (grilled pork knuckle) the house specialty and it was delicious. They have special every day and are very affordable, definitely a must when in Evora. read more.

"This special restaurant hits all the right notes. Loved the size and decor. We were greeted warmly by Mercy, who provided excellent service throughout. The chef and sommelier are a husband and wife power duo, highly regarded within Portugal and internationally. They’ve earned their reputations. The scallops w puréed green peas was an extraordinary dish. The cheese plate was fantastic and the pear dish inventive and lovely. I have celiac disease and so appreciated the chef coming to the table and asking if I’d like some GF bread. It felt like Christmas morning! Very generous. A very, very special “first night in Portugal” meal. Highly recommend."
