"Sandarella's is that quirky, artistically fuelled free spirited store that works. There are two parts to the store the shop and goods out front, and the eatery in behind. I'll let someone else talk about the stuff in the store I'll write about the food. They make marvelous pizzas and wraps, with fantastic gluten free options for both. They have suggested pizzas, but you can choose your ingredients, and the same goes for the wraps. The kids stuffed themselves with the sweet fillings, like strawberries, chocolate, peanut butter, whipped cream, etc. My wife went for a fabulous savoury tex mex wrap, and I loved my pizza. It is so fantastic that in a small town like New Denver, someone is preparing such good quality and flavourful food, and with full gluten free options as well. You gotta eat here!"

"This little Inn was quaint. The room was a decent size, had a tub, decent tv with a few cable channels. Could use blackout blinds and a pillow top on the mattress. Slept soundly. The view outside is stunning. Lovely small town, we will be back The owner made me chuckle, I'd mentioned seeing a bear in the area and was told not to look it in the eye. Note: don't keep food in your vehicle. Learned the hard way as the bear broke into ours. Our fault, should have removed all the food to our room."

"Good pub food. Great view of the Slocan Lake, and one of the only places in the area that serves dinner. I can't speak for the golf, but the restaurant here was recommended to us by many locals as the place to go for dinner. The service staff was very friendly and efficient making for a very pleasant experience."

"The very small town of New Denver in the West Kootenays has, as is to be expected, precious few dining options. Hence it is a treat to discover a restaurant that, if not great, offers perfectly good fare of more the 'comfort food' variety that is tasty and makes the best use of fresh, local ingredients. The menu is not large and includes salads, burgers, a few mains, bowls, and tasty desserts. I had the halibut main. Done up in a sauce, it was very tasty if a little richer than I usually expect for a seafood dish. My friends had tacos and the lamb burger, both of which received a thumbs up, as did the peanut butter and chocolate pies. Service was excellent. Definitely worth a stop if you are in the area, both for a wholesome meal and also to help support the local economy. The restaurant is apparently being renamed and rebranded in September to reflect even more of the local offerings."
