The chicken stew was very good. I like the little lettuce on the side to give some crunch, and the fresh lemon included enhances the flavor of the chicken. The African Beans were also tasty and are a kind of coconut milk curry with beans. Bonus: Theres enough food in one box to feed three people. View all feedback.
What Natalie J doesn't like about East African Somali:
This is the 3rd time I gave ordered. Both previous times the protein por was amazing. Today it was a thin layer to camouflage the rice. It was also missing the spicy paste that comes with it. A little disappointed since I was looking forward to it : View all feedback.
Chicken rice is so flavourful that it reminds me of authentic pulav(pilaf) from south indian andhra special. Must try if you like
Best somali/african restaurant in town. owners are sooo friendly and hospitable and the food is absolutely delicious. huge portions too, worth it and highly
Stay away from this place! Not only did the food leave me with a stomachache for days, but the customer service was atrocious. The staff were rude, unhelpful, and completely indifferent to my concerns about the quality of the food. It’s a shame that such a place even exists in the hospitality industry. Save your money and your health by avoiding this dump!
Thank you for the tea. I'm dining in and enjoying chicken stew with rice. I also have a to-go order for chicken steak with rice and another for goat meat with rice. Here's my receipt.
This one is my favorite East African/Somali restaurant. The family that owns it is so friendly. The food is authentic and so amazingly flavorful. I go there at least once a week to dine in.
