Visited tonight with my wife, as usual large queue outside waiting to be served Once inside order was taken , although extremely busy , all staff were pleasant and very friendly The fish and chips, as always were absolutely delicious, lovely curry sauce as well Thanks guys, we will be back over soon read more.

Stayed at Whitemead and got takeaway fish and chips one evening. Spot on quality and price. Would recommend if you are in the area. Curry sauce good too!

"Brilliant pub restaurant. We popped in on a Friday lunchtime, originally just for a drink (and the place was full, which spoke volume).. However, the smell of the food and the menu left is no choice but to order, and glad we did. Excellent quality food. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Good choice of real ales.
