"Another excellent meal at Tonbridge’s finest curry restaurant. Don’t be surprised if you leave Gurkha Planet nodding with a big smile on your face. The food is truly excellent. There’s an authentic Nepalese theme, but a few curry favourites with a twist (Salmon Tikka Masala for example). There’s an excellent beer alongside the staple Cobra, simply called Gurkha Beer, and it’s superior in every way to its better known cousin. Add friendly service and a reasonable price and you’ve got yourself a genuinely lovely little place to eat. Get yourself to Gurkha!"

"My wife and I were looking forward to visiting this cafe in view of the excellent reviews . However when we arrived we were approached by a chap , possibly the owner who, instead of offering assistance to get over the threshold step told my...wife and it would be better if we did not go in as it may be unsafe. We couldn't believe this man's attitude, offered no assistance and basically made us feel unwelcome. We left disheartened that such discriminatory people still exist , although we ended up having an excellent breakfast in the Coffee Grind around the corner. I have to say in all my years visiting older buildings which do not have purpose built disabled access this is the first time I have had such a negative unfriendly experience ."

"My partner took me here for my birthday on Friday 25th November we had a really lovely meal, the food was delicious and big in portions! The ribs in particular were good! The pub itself is beautiful with old beams and a lovely fireplace, very warming and welcoming! The staff were very friendly and attentive including the manager/owner. I will definitely be coming back, a lovely hidden gem!"

"Had dinner here for my husband's birthday. The food was so delicious, my mouth is watering just thinking about it now! Nicola was just so lovely and welcoming and made sure we were comfortable through the whole meal. The setting is beautiful and relaxing. Definitely somewhere I'd go again and highly recommend!! "We used to visit Loving Hut Southgate approximately every 3-4 weeks. (Pre-Covid) Now we are relieved to find that both the Asian food and service is back to Pam's usual high standards! Naturally the prices have gone up a little but that is welcomed when compared to the possibility of this little gem disappearing! We are always happy to visit Loving Hut Southgate for their own cheery brand of great quality Asian food made from scratch and cooked fresh every daily. If only other local cafe's were so happy to provide handmade and cooked from scratch food on a daily basis. Regarding payment: Thankfully their payment system now allows an electronic tip option. (Previously not available)"
