"Really good service, a bit slow but they kept checking in with us which was really nice. They had a big group which would explain why the service might have been a bit slower. The food was superb. Would definitely recommend"

"Latest review: Local pub with good vibes and full of life. Hospitality: 5/5 service was on point with waiting times, and care. Food: 5/5 the food was excellent as always. The vegan ghoats cheese a red onion tart I normally have was great. All our choices were of great quality. All around satifaction Ran out of cheesecakes. But desserts normally are amazing The cheesecakes were.. as I just said Building: 5/5 same amazing design as my last review with a slight added bit of festive spice with I'm into. +1 My dad had the best stake ever. "So sad to say that our order this time has not been to its usual standard. The cheesecake was overwhipped and almost tasteless, and the chocolate topping pieces on the waffle were stale. Good amount of sauce though"

The evening was just perfect, the service brilliant and the food amazing. "A superb traditional Fish and Chip shop. First time visit tonight as a family. They serve really good fish and chips along with some home made dishes. Fish is cooked to order. We ate in. Crispy batter, crunchy chips. My wife enjoyed the lasagne and my children are scampi. All in all the best we've had in the area. Will be back. Parking is tight but do able. Best fish and chips we've had away from the coast. Yum.!! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5"

"Fantastic service from the Devonshire Arms! From booking to eating the whole experience was first class. We booked a table for 10 for my sons 17th birthday. I was sent confirmation and the preorder document within 5 minutes of my call. We added another guest too at no extra trouble. Staff were friendly on arrival and extended impeccable service throughout the night. The food!! Exceptional. So tasty and you could tell the menu was considered and everything had been cooked with care. Steak was cooked to perfection. Compliments to the chef! Everything else ordered was fresh and piping hot. Portion sizes gave more than moneys worth, even the kids menu didn’t leave my 9yo niece hungry! We had a range of starters, mains with sides and desserts and everything was outstanding. A bit off the beaten track but definitely a hidden gem that’s worth the drive! To all the staff, thanks for a memorable evening! We will be sure to return!"

"I went in here on a whim after passing it loads of times and so glad I did! The ambience was relaxing and chilled out, many different cakes and coffees to choose from. It's at the top of town, opposite the cinema. I will definitely be back :"
