"This is a lovely spot to stop on your way to Apollo Bay for a lovely lunch, hard to make a decision, everything looks and sounds beautiful. Wash your lunch Down with their own craft beer and ciders, delicious. Staff are so very welcoming and friendly, sit inside our out the front at their rustic tables and chairs. Highly recommend this place"

"We have been going here for a few years now. The atmosphere is excellent with memorabilia of the history of the local area adorning the walls. including photos of giant Otways Ranges hollow trees which house several horses. You could never go hungry with the broad menu of country fair and their coffee is the best, although my wife loves their lemongrass & ginger tea. They also have a range of bespoke locally made chocolates, art works, clothing and nick-knacks. This place is a hidden treasure - do not tell too many people about the place!"

"We went to Brae for our wedding anniversary. It had been on my list for years, and this was the perfect reason to tick it off the bucket list. I had read many reviews, so knew the standout would be the accommodation, which didn’t disappoint. It was modern, spacious, and relaxing. Very lovely. However, I wasn’t sure what to expect regarding the food based on what I had heard from others. Disappointingly, we were underwhelmed by the food. I’m not quite sure how to explain it, other than we only loved 2 of the dishes, and we didn’t finish a few dishes because they weren’t very nice (even basic things, like the bread and home made butter). Some flavours were strong and overpowering, and other dishes were bland the balance was off. There were limited non alcoholic drinks on the menu for those not drinking. In our view, our lunch was certainly not worth the price tag, and I’d be spending my time and money at other fine dining restaurants instead."

"We stayed at the Big 4 Wye River campsite next door, and wanted to "eat out". The hotel was the obvious choice.Fantastic views over the ocean, with a good choice of locally-prepared food, and local beer (a bit potent over four middies)!We spent a most enjoyable evening, having got chatting to two local guys.Thoroughly recommended, even if you are just passing through, rather than staying at the campsite."

"We had dinner and it absolutely lovely. Excellent friendly, fast service. Modern decor in Deco Style Pub. Large tables so plenty of space for those with wide elbows! I had the kangaroo which was beautifully and tender. Would highly recommend it."

"Ordered a Blaat sandwich, it looked good but it was just okay. Loaded with butter , mayo and fatty bacon. Place was very busy, no service level to speak off. Stop for your meal in Lorne, that town looked much nicer with more options"
