"I saw this place on Triple D. Since I live 4 miles away, I had to try it. I ordered the Cuban Sandwich and a side salad. The bread was fresh, homemade. Grilled to a nice crunch but softer inside than a typical panini. The pork was delicious and the portion was large. Seating is limited but the dining area is rustic. The staff is friendly and professional. They had “Nirvana Live” on the audio system. Awesome! Last but not least, I spotted the baked goods display and bought some orange iced cookies. They were fantastic! I will be a regular!"

"A hole in the wall gem. Come to this restaurant if your in the Newport News area. The food presentation 10/10 taste 10/10 the China 10/10. You will not regret it, been here twice for Mothers day and my bday both times food was amazing. The waitress are great too no complaints. Also a plus the owner himself is a very friendly welcoming guy he will talk to you greet you at the door walk you out. Overall a great spot 5 ???? easy"

"We visited for an early lunch while visiting the Norfolk area. The biscuits are light and fluffy. I had the chicken with the slaw. It was delicious. My wife had the peanut butter and jelly. It was oozing peanut butter and jelly and was also fantastic"

"I have only been a few times, but I enjoyed my time at the place regardless. Each time I go in, it’s usually never busy and it’s nice and quiet. The staff is quite nice and respectful. I’ve only gotten small things like Boba and macarons here, but they tasted great and didn’t cost that much money. I’d need to go a few more times to get a more thorough experience, but I overall like Pokey and would consider going back again sometime. :"

"Popped into Crudo Nudo for lunch. What a great addition to Ghent. The food and cocktail menus were awesome! We tried the beef tartare, brussel sprouts and the sausage pasta. Everything was super tasty and paired well with the delicious cocktails! We sat at the bar and the bartender was super attentive and had great recommendations on what to order. The restaurant itself if set up nicely and has a great ambiance.Will definitely be back again!"

"My family and I enjoyed a perfect meal at Surf Rider on New Year's Day. The service was quite exceptional. I cannot remember our waitress' name, but she was very attentive. The food came out quickly (partially due to the empty dining room, I'm sure) and was AMAZING! The whole family was pleased with the experience.My only gripe, and it's minor and has nothing to do with the food or service, is the decor. It's pretty dated and every single picture needs to be straightened. Like I said, minor gripe.If you want some great seafood with a friendly experience, this is the place for you!"
