"We were staying locally, and Russell's was recommended by our hosts. There was clearly some nervousness, because it was so soon after lifting of Covid restrictions, but the proprietors had prepared well, and we enjoyed a lovely evening – in spite of a pompous prat in a kilt, who tried to insinuate that we were invading his personal space by being in Scotland. Turned out he was an English surgeon from Inverness, 80 miles away! The food was great, too."

"Only two vegan options, both main courses, no starters. After they had told me that they had no vegan desserts, they then said that all their ice creams were vegan, not confident that they were so they had none. The staff did not seem to know what vegan actually is. The options were gnocchi and vegan fish and chips, I had the gnocchi with vegan parmesan that tasted beautiful. It was roasted inside and people smoke outside so remained inside. Not the best experience."

"Lovely wee station museum. Very informative about the history of the station and the West Highland Line, and also a great shop. I really felt the volunteers running the museum are passionate about what they do. Even if yo are not a railway fan, it is worth a visit!"

"This is the second time I've been in and both times have been lovely-great food and friendly staff. I'm vegetarian, not vegan, but try to make as many vegan choices as possible, and cafes like this make it so easy to eat vegan! We had the soup and sandwich combo and it was so tasty and filling. And wow I haven't had a better coffee in a long time! Oh and the cake is glorious. I've found vegan cake is often quite dry but this was super moist and decadent without being too sweet. We'll definitely be back next time we're in the area."

"A so sweet boutique restaurant with the beautiful hauch of art gallery also in the building. the service was error-free, but not above the tip. eating was delicious and of high standard. the chocolate dessert was from this world. another positive. they could make aperol splash and we couldn't find it anywhere on the west coast! we traveled the west coast of Scotland twice and that was one of our favorite restaurants."
