"The restaurant is grand and I love the subtle richness of the decor, from the frames on the walls to the plates handing from the ceilings. As you walk in, you see the open kitchen with chefs preparing dishes. There’s a lot to see on a visit here, from the shop to the nature and museum. The menu is small and far more adventurous than I am, so I opted for the chicken, which looked and tasted incredible! The poached pear dessert was a winner too."

"We stayed two nights at Delaire Graf. Only their Indochine restaurant was disappointing (our group of 6 all found the food a bit too mushy and not close to Asian taste at all). Their other restaurant is much better (and nicer in terms of design). Wonderful estate and accommodation however!"

"Such a lovely place to sit back, enjoy the fresh air and be served with such amazing hospitality. Our waiter was Jermaine and he paid attention to the smallest details, even memorised each guest name around the table and addressed us accordingly throughout our visit, that is something you don't see often, good on him for delivering impeccable service today. The venue is very cute with the farm-style theme throughout the entire property. The food is delicious, fresh, presented well and will hit every South African note that you would want in a dish. I will definitely recommend this little gem of a place."

"Franschhoek has a glossy side that all the tourists come to see but then their is a secret world hiding in plain site that only the locals know about. And I think Taki's is their godfather. Walking down the main road, all you see is the unassuming stoep with people having a drink. But if you step inside, their is a whole different world of generous people waiting to welcome you in. All the shops had music blaring but none at Taki's, their buzz came from people sharing stories and laughs. Who knows, next time I might actually have something to eat as well."

"A group of us went on the Franschhoek wine tram and along the route we booked lunch at The Country Kitchen Mount Rochelle. It is a little pricey but the food was delicious and the service great. Everyone enjoyed their main courses but I do recommend to leave a little space for their decadent desserts and homemade ice creams. The cheese and charcuterie platters also look fantastic paired with wine tasting. The decor has sculptural features made from wine corks which really enhances the ambiance and complements the wine estate location. It is a beautiful estate and The Country Kitchen has delicious and local cuisine overall a lovely experience."
