"We were finally happy to have found such a nice location near our home to bring the guest that often visit us and really were looking forward to the nice looking food. Then the waitress came and asked us in a polite way to tell the children not to play but rather sit on their chairs. I politely told her that i will try, but can not promise that because I would never force my children to SIT as adults or even worse, give them a phone to watch some youtube, just because they don 't like children. The waitress said that they would disturb the guests outside while running, even though there was just a couple at the table and they never said anything. Long story short, the waitress told us 3 times that the children should stop playing and at the end, the manager/owner came and tried to explain again while saying that the wooden chairs would cost 600 CHF a chair and once a child broke a glass so they don 't like children to play inside or outside. SHE EVEN SAID THEY SHOULD PLAY ON THE STREET BECAUSE it is a 30 KMH zone so there is no danger. At the end she literally invited us to never come back again because maybe this is not the right restaurant for us ... really sad cause the food and ambience are very nice but parents with free children, think of the story above before going there and if you go, prepare your iphone to make them sit in front of it. I am sure the manager will read this so I am writing to her again what i nicely told her: If you ever wish to have children and will have them, think of what you told to me when you go in a restaurant. "Excellent service: humorous, courteous, attentive and not intrusively beautiful ambiente: look at the lago maggiore with the brissago inseln excellent Essenveganer randenburger with pommes frites: tastes deceptively real after meat. we had to reassure ourselves that it really is a sweetpatty nothing for people who do not like meat taste. the pommes were good but not stunning.Burrata with cherrytomates: creamy fine burrata with fresh cherrytomates, which could be a bit sweeter but overall fit well with the mild burrata.Tortelloni with feta and mint filling of nut butter sauce: the portion was huge. the filling was very delicious. slightly sweet yet fresh and creamy. I'm not sure they were homemade. but very tasty overall."

"Sono stata invitata con degli amici in questo ristorante e non ero proprio entusiasta!! si pensava un ristorante da turisti di passaggio. Ho dovuto proprio ricredermi, si ci sono proprio tanti turisti tedeschi di passaggio, ma la cucina é non ne risente.Cucina molto curata, abbiamo assaggiato un primo con affettato con una terrina di selvaggina molto buona, ravioli di selvaggina con funghi porcini e un duo di polenta con funghi e con formaggio. Per dessert sfoglia con crema alla vaniglia e frutti di bosco veramente ottimo. Da notare che questo era il menu. Complimenti!! da ritornare sicuramente."

"We were allowed to spend a very nice evening in the mill on Saturday. eating was top and the price-performance ratio is completely right. also the service was great: we were the first time to visit, but certainly not the last time."

"Had a very nice afternoon cafe there. Caribbean Ambiente with a lot to discover, even an own newspaper! Fantastic stop during my day and plan to come again to check out the rum selection, which seems extensive."

"I ordered 2 Doner Kebabs, 1 Dürüm XL and 1 Pizza Salami earlier. The food itself was good, but the kebab plates were extremely dry... Next time, more sauce on the salad, unfortunately, it had to throw more than half away. Also with the Dürüm XL much too little meat for the price, you do not know what a Dürüm XL should be for CHF 18.00 You should expect more..."

"Hier passt alles. Freundlicher und kompetenter Service und bestes Essen. Wir haben ohne Reservierung im überdachten Garten einen Tisch bekommen. Die Bedienung hat uns gleich das Menue erklärt, das jeden Tag wechselt. Die Auswahl ist zwar klein, aber Sonderwünsche werden erfüllt, falls möglich. Nach der Antipasti, gab es ein Vitello und als Hauptgang wählte ich Pasta Arabiata. Das Essen schmeckt toll. Wir kommen gern wieder."

"Since January 2019 there is a new owner and chef in this well known gourmet spot. The new chef used to be three star sous chef in Crissier, and his food displays ambition to shoot even higher than his predecessor. The tastes are bolder and feel more contemporary....Well balanced earthy tones complemented by creamy foie gras and just the right hint of acidity. For dessert a beautiful take on the flavors of peanut, dark chocolate and caramel. Celestial Snickers? Nice elements from the past have been maintained: commitment to locally sourced products, the good bye candy filled with 'damassine '. Other elements that had gotten a little tired are now much better: The hostess is super friendly and competent she has worked in this kitchen herself. The chef makes the rounds with true interest in feedback. The interiors got an upgrade while maintaining the pleasant layout. All around an authentic, delightful experience. Will definitely return and expect the Michelin stars to re accumulate in the future"
